For many students, summer break brings about the end of classes, but summer does not mean the end of work for student athletes at New Mexico State University. Student athletes of NMSU have obligations over the summer that they must fulfill if they wish to stay with the university and remain a part of a team.

WAC tennis championship

Last Friday, the Aggie men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Fresno, Calif., to compete in the 2010 WAC tournament, unfortunately wrapping up their seasons in the first round. Both the men and women’s teams went into the conference as the sixth seed and were set to play third seeds Boise State and Fresno State respectively.

Spring game sets tone for 2010 football season

The football team of New Mexico State University hosted the annual Crimson and White spring game on Saturday to kick off preparations for the 2010 season. The offense took on the defense as an opportunity for coaches to assess the roster and fans to see the new football team in action for the first time.
